About This Temple

The Hindu Temple Society of North America, commonly known as the Ganesh Temple, was the first traditional Hindu temple built in the United States. Located in Flushing, Queens, it was designed by temple architects from India and consecrated in 1977. The temple serves a diverse community and hosts elaborate celebrations for all major Hindu festivals.
