Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Aaradhana mobile app and the aaradhana.app website (collectively, the “Service”), operated by Aaradhana (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Using the Service

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this age requirement. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
• Scrape, crawl, or harvest content from the Service
• Impersonate another person or entity

2. Accounts

To access most features, you need to create an account using your email, Apple Sign-In, or Google Sign-In. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and your login credentials secure.

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Deletion is permanent and cannot be reversed. All your data, including uploaded photos, audio, ritual guides, and practice history, will be permanently removed.

3. Subscriptions and Payments

Aaradhana offers a free tier with core features and a premium subscription (“Aaradhana Premium”) with additional capabilities.

Free Trial

New users receive a 2-week free trial of Aaradhana Premium. You can cancel at any time during the trial without being charged. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected subscription plan will begin automatically.

• Monthly: $4.99/month
• Quarterly: $9.99/quarter
• Yearly: $29.99/year

Billing

All payments are processed through the Apple App Store. We do not directly collect or store any payment or financial information. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's App Store settings.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policies. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or use the “Report a Problem” option on your App Store purchase receipt.

4. User Content

You may create, upload, and store content through the Service, including ritual guides, photos, audio recordings, and notes (“User Content”). You retain ownership of your User Content.

By creating User Content, you grant us a limited license to store, display, and transmit it as necessary to provide the Service to you (for example, syncing across your devices or sharing within your family group if you choose to do so).

You are responsible for ensuring your User Content does not:

• Violate any law or infringe on any third party's rights
• Contain harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable material

We reserve the right to remove User Content that violates these Terms.

5. AI Spiritual Guidance

Aaradhana offers an AI-powered chat feature for spiritual guidance, powered by Google Gemini. This feature is intended for informational and educational purposes only.

AI responses are not a substitute for advice from qualified religious scholars, priests, or spiritual teachers. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or appropriateness of AI responses. Different Hindu traditions may have different interpretations of practices and teachings.

Chat messages are processed in real time and are not stored on our servers after your session ends.

6. Religious and Spiritual Content

Aaradhana provides information about Hindu traditions, festivals, rituals, and practices. This content is provided for educational and devotional purposes.

• Hindu traditions are diverse. Practices and interpretations may vary by region, community, family, and sampradaya (tradition). Our content aims to be inclusive but cannot cover every variation.
• Panchang calculations (tithis, nakshatras, muhurats) are based on astronomical algorithms and may differ slightly from those of your local pandit or regional panchang.
• Festival dates, rituals, and practices are presented as general guidance. Always consult your family traditions and local religious authorities for specific observances.

7. Family Features

The Service allows you to create family groups and share certain content (such as ritual guides) with family members. You are responsible for the content you share and should only share content that is appropriate and that you have the right to share.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, text, images, and other content (excluding User Content), is owned by Aaradhana and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Service without our written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We are not responsible for any decisions you make based on information provided through the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aaradhana shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service will be resolved in accordance with applicable law.
